The birth of Betty and the bullet

Hunting, as thrilling as it may be, can quickly turn into a nightmare for the underprepared. This blog is my way of chronicling my experiences, mishaps, and learnings that came with a life lived in pursuit of the game. Nothing beats the rush of a successful stalk or the satisfaction of enjoying wild, organic meat with your fellow hunters. So ladies, if you’re wondering whether hunting is for you — trust me, it definitely is!

The Hunter Behind the Scope

Hi there, fellow enthusiasts! I’m Betty and I have been chasing game and adventure ever since I was old enough to lace up my boots. Born and raised in Colorado, I have cut my teeth on everything from mule deer hunts in the high country to spot-and-stalk pursuits in the bushlands.

My grandpa was the one who introduced me to this lifestyle when I tagged along with him on a deer hunt. I was probably about 12 then, but the experience lit a fire in me that has been burning ever since.

Why I Started This Blog?

After years of filing tags and swapping stories around campfires, I realized that maybe I do have experiences worth sharing. Ergo, on this blog, I hope to share a ton of information on hunting tactics, field tested gear reviews, conservation insights, and even tales from the trail — as I like to call them!

Whether you’re a bow hunter or a long ranger, or maybe just someone mildly curious about the sport, I surely hope you like what you read on here. I would love to hear back from you!
